Put your laptop away and head to the farm this summer! Test your design skills at one of Long Island’s most popular farms and think outside the box!

 

Started in 2018 and founded by RISD Alumni, Marc Weiss (Graphic Design 2011), Waterdrinker Family Farm understands how creative people think and work and dream!

 

Waterdrinker Family Farm offers 4 seasons of family fun. Every year, thousands of guests visit the farm to experience the Tulip Festival, the Sunflower Festival, the Fall Festival and our magical Winter Wonderland.

 

Our goal at Waterdrinker is to create new and immersive experiences where guests can learn the importance of farming and be entertained. We call it Edu-tainment!

Think of this internship as a giant RISD CRIT, but this time it’s out in the Sunflower field on Long Island!   Design problems aren’t solved on a screen. They are solved by getting out into the “field” and working with other creative thinkers. It sounds corny (yup we grow corn too!), but as designers, it is our job to make the world a more beautiful place.
